After doing product research, finding a winning product, and working with a supplier to create a private label product<\/a>, Fulfillment-by-Amazon<\/a> (FBA) sellers have the option to ship their products directly to Amazon’s warehouses from their supplier or<\/em> to ship them to another location first, before<\/em> they go to Amazon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why wouldn’t sellers have their suppliers send their inventory straight to Amazon? Some sellers like to inspect the products themselves, only send a limited quantity of stock to Amazon at a time to control FBA storage costs<\/a>, or any number of other reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sellers who go this route need to know how to get their products to Amazon’s warehouses when they’re ready. The fees will range from $0.21 – $0.68 per unit for standard-sized products, and $2.16 – $6.00 per unit for large bulky-sized products.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <div class=\"backdrop position-absolute w-100 h-100 pl-2 pt-2\" style=\"bottom: 0; right: 0; z-index: 0;\">\n <div class=\"bg-mango w-100 h-100 rounded\">\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wolf-block wp-block-heading toc-show\" id=\"send\">Create an FBA shipment using “Send to Amazon”<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before Send to Amazon, there was an old way of creating a shipment in Seller Central. That way is now gone and all sellers must use the new Send to Amazon shipment creation workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Send to Amazon requires fewer steps for replenishing FBA inventory. <a href=\"https:\/\/sellercentral.amazon.com\/help\/hub\/reference\/G6925SDD66GDLXJW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According to Amazon<\/a>, here is what you can do with Send to Amazon: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><em>Save time creating shipments with simplified process steps.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Create reusable case pack templates to provide box content information, box weight and dimensions, and prep and labeling details for shipments of single-SKU boxes. The templates are ideal when you use the same box configuration for a SKU because you won’t have to re-enter the details each time you replenish inventory.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Pack single-SKU and mixed-SKU boxes before you create shipments, and update quantities as you pack, before you confirm your shipment destinations.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Choose the best option to ship your inventory as individual boxes (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/sellercentral.amazon.com\/gp\/help\/G200280260\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>small parcel delivery<\/em><\/a><em>) or pallets (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/sellercentral.amazon.com\/gp\/help\/200280270\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>less than truckload delivery<\/em><\/a><em>).<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Compare estimated carrier fees to make the best choice between shipping your inventory as individual boxes (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/sellercentral.amazon.com\/gp\/help\/G200280260\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>small parcel delivery<\/em><\/a><em>) or pallets (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/sellercentral.amazon.com\/gp\/help\/200280270\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>less than truckload delivery<\/em><\/a><em>).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wolf-block wp-block-heading\">Step 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First, find the product you want to ship inventory for in the “Manage All Inventory” section of Seller Central.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wolf-block content-035-block image-block mx-auto\" id=\"block_0d5c515acb39271706904df695500ced\">\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.junglescout.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Screen-Shot-2023-06-29-at-11.19.10-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"988\" height=\"976\">\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also click on “Shipment” to go to your shipping queue and create a new shipment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find your product, then on the right-hand side, choose the drop-down menu that reads “Edit” and click “Send\/Replenish Inventory.”<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wolf-block content-035-block image-block mx-auto\" id=\"block_53aa91c7c0eec6a417ba1277f3af0e5f\">\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.junglescout.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Screen-Shot-2023-06-29-at-11.21.24-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"464\" height=\"698\">\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wolf-block wp-block-heading\">Step 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you already have a workflow created for that product, it will show up here. If not, you will enter new packing details of the product, including how many units per box, the dimensions, and package weight.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wolf-block content-035-block image-block mx-auto\" id=\"block_471c0bbbcfea7b93869f9dd7692b9e60\">\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.junglescout.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Screen-Shot-2022-06-14-at-4.56.09-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1244\" height=\"498\">\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be able to name your template as well. This allows you to choose the same exact packing details for the next shipment you send to Amazon, thus making the process easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If for whatever reason, you will be packing your product differently for the next shipment, you can create a new template.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wolf-block content-035-block image-block mx-auto\" id=\"block_02a173e373188c33d82b76934d266548\">\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.junglescout.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Screen-Shot-2023-06-29-at-11.53.10-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"323\" height=\"264\">\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, choose the number of units you want to send. Once that is entered, click Ready to Send, then Confirm and continue.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wolf-block content-035-block image-block mx-auto\" id=\"block_d7d7a69dd1cf0626d045cb787c96fc47\">\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.junglescout.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Screen-Shot-2023-06-29-at-11.42.16-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"2984\" height=\"896\">\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In here, you can also edit your “Ship from” address. Once you’re done here, go to the “Confirm Shipping” step in the workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wolf-block wp-block-heading\">Step 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Confirm your shipping information and accept the charges.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wolf-block content-035-block image-block mx-auto\" id=\"block_7915834c7e33013d318a0caf96a28336\">\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.junglescout.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Screen-Shot-2023-06-29-at-11.43.47-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1866\" height=\"1122\">\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose your ship date, shipping mode (small parcel delivery or LTL), confirm your shipping carrier and charges. If everything looks good, click “Accept charges and confirm shipping.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wolf-block wp-block-heading\">Step 4<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Print your labels and ship! Once you print your shipping labels, again, make sure both barcodes are visible on the outside of your box. Then simply drop off your package at UPS or schedule a UPS pickup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be able to track your shipment from the Shipping Queue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wolf-block wp-block-heading toc-show\">How much does it cost to ship to Amazon FBA?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On average, sellers are paying roughly $0.25-$0.30 per pound to ship products to an Amazon FBA warehouse. The more units you ship at one time, the less it will cost you per unit. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But honestly, there is no one answer to this question. The cost to ship to Amazon FBA will depend on the weight and size of your shipment, your ship from location, and which FBA warehouses you’re sending your inventory to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You also have to take Amazon’s new <a href=\"https:\/\/sellercentral.amazon.com\/help\/hub\/reference\/GC3Q44PBK8BXQW3Z\">FBA inbound placement service fee<\/a>, which has been <a href=\"https:\/\/sellercentral.amazon.com\/seller-forums\/discussions\/t\/f9677779-2a5f-42f6-8ffa-252f902e556d\">increasing sellers’ costs to ship products to FBA<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some sellers have reported their inbound shipping costs have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled.
